Born in Tehran, 1979 Hedayat graduated with a MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA of Photography from Islamic Azad University of Tehran.

She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Silk Road Gallery, Baudoin Lebon Gallery in Paris, CCA Gallery, in Oakland, San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery and Arthur Roger Gallery in New Orleans. She now lives and works in Iran.
