Peyman Hooshmandzadeh
Born in 1969 in Tehran. He is a founder member of the 135 Photos Agency in Iran. He studied photography at the Azad University of Tehran. He has been a photo reporter for many daily newspapers and press agencies, both in Iran (Gozaresh e rooz Newspaper, Isatis Monthly Magazine, Asia Newspaper and Goonagoon Newspaper) and abroad (Reuter, Panos Picture Agency, Polfoto Agency). He is also the author of stories and novels. His work has given rise to numerous personal exhibitions in Tehran. In 1999 and 2000 he won the annual Press Photography Festival award (Tehran). Since 1995 he has taken part in many collective exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Photography Biennal , the Silk Road Gallery in Tehran. In 2001 he contributed to the collective exhibition Regards Persans (Espace Electra, Paris). In November 2007 he participated in Photoquai, the First Biennale of Images of the World alongside and by the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris.
