Silk Road Gallery represented Rana Javadi, Farshid Mesghali, Shadi Ghadirian, Hawar Amini and Afshin Pirhashemi in this art fair that took place in Madinat Jumeira, Dubai.

"Art Dubai, whose third annual edition opens this month, is one fair that has proved agile in responding to change in the economic climate. For the first two years, visitors might have been forgiven for coming away with the impression that the states of the Gulf region were locked in competition for the cultural laurels; there seemed to be little collaboration.
The fair itself hosts some 60 galleries this year, with a reach from Sydney to Brazil, Palo Alto to Berlin, Moscow to Mallorca, but of course with a predominance from the MENASA region (that's Middle East, North Africa and South Asia). Tehran is represented by the excellent Silk Road Gallery, and if the past two years of Art Dubai are anything to go by, the stars of the show will be Iranian artists both from home and from the wide diaspora. Beyond that, the market is anyone's guess."
